Anka Sielska (b. 1978 in Katowice, Poland) – photographer, graduate of Institute of Creative Photography in Opava (Czech Republic) and Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (Poland), where she works as assistant professor in Photography Studio. In 2009, degree of Doctor of Fine Arts in film arts, in the field of photography from Film School in Lodz (Poland). She deals with issues related to working with a photographic social archive. For several years, she has been conducting workshops on photographic narration and photographic image analysis.
Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship scholarships holder. In 2014, in collaboration with Helena Zakliczynska, she realized the project Art of Photography – Art of Survival, using photography in the therapeutic process of treating trauma. President of Culture of Image Foundation dealing with activities for the development and promotion of photography.
